Who here uses them to finance a car? How hard is it to apply? And what is the verdict of whether or not you have to be tied to the military, etc.? I want some cheap money please.

    Thanks in advance.

It's not a fee to them, you need to join Milatary Family Assitence to become eligible to become a member of PenFed. The link to join is part of the PenFed application, so is very easy. That fee is one time thing and then you are a member of Penfed for life. Also they run a hard credit check on everyone so also apply for a credit card within 30 days and they use the same pull for that. Would be good to stay with them since they also offer some of the best morgatage rates

I also have a Penfed account and the Gas card. I think they did two pulls on me, even though I did it within a week.

I have been wondering how easy the loan application is online, and if they vari the min percentage based on your application. Only reason I ask is I have wondered if anyone gets the low rate, or if I would be better off just calling since I won't get it.

Was about to join but now thinking I should wait until a deal is a little closer on a car, then apply, that way they can use the same pull?
