  1. #1 Default Where/how to get a DEI/Viper remote activated?
The old key fob for the Cougar is falling apart and I have an updated style one I'd like to replace it with. Anyone here recommend a shop that can do this or is there a trick where I can do it myself. It's an older system, 550SE I believe, and has just remote start (car use to be an auto), doors/trunks, panic, and I can roll the windows up as well.

Different model but same procedure to program.

Page 33 is where you need to look.

That looks fun. Hopefully I don't need that special hardware mentioned.

If you need to go to a shop, there are two local to me, that I would recommend, and in this order...

Auto Sound - Middleton (Ask For Andrew - Tell him Sam Lurie sent you.)
Superior Systems - Danvers (Ask For Jim - He won't remember me, so don't bother.)
    Samuel C. Lurie - Owner/President
The Beantown Sound - Professional Disc Jockey Services

Depending on how it was installed you should not have any issues unless you got a ton of auxiliary options installed. You could also go down to that newish 12v install shop down the street from us on Montvale ave.

I've actually been in that Montvale shop once before. Guy seemed cool. The only extra modules I have is the windows up feature and remote starter. It was installed on the side by a guy who did it for a living at a shop so hopefully his work is up to par.

I'll check out those shops, Sam.

    Thanks, all.
