Thread: Audio Installer ???

Results 1 to 19 of 19
  1. #1 Default Audio Installer ???
I am having the bezel for my 04 Vette modified so that a Double Din Nav Unit can be installed. The double din mod is being done by DoubleD in Wisc plus he's who I will be getting the electronics from - I'll be using the stock speakers for the time being. My question is I'm looking for someone to do the installation who will do a very good job at a fair price - any suggestions out there ?

    TIA
    \Bob

Why don't you call them or look online instead of bumping the old thread?

If you don't mind...I'd like to stop by to see what they have for a replacement sub for my Prowler.

Go right ahead. If they cant get anything from a company, they can custom make you anything you need.

Auto Sound in Middleton is great. They've worked on all my cars, talk to Ron and tell him Joe sent you and said to have his best audio installer work on it.

Im thinking of putting in a Kenwood DNX570 in my WRX. Ive been getting quoted through the roof on the few places around me that Ive tried. Thinking of buying the unit myself and then having an installer put in the unit and order the trim, harnesses, etc.

Anyone recommend anyone south of town or not too far away that does good work reasonably that wouldn't mind me buying the head unit on my own?

I just pulled a DNX7140 from my WRX over the weekend. Will be replacing it with a dnx890 i believe. Wasn't a hard job at all.

Takes a whole 5 minutes to get the old radio out. You might spend 1 hour soldering your radio harness and SWC box, but after that it is plug an play. It is kind of scary how easily this car gets ripped apart.

you aren't kidding. When I installed my hardwire kit for my radar detector I had all the trim around the shifter off in 30 seconds, and the tray area opened up not 30 seconds after that.
