I happened to dig up a rolling sound slip. This was before the K&N Filter and the removal of the air box baffles. I apologize for the poor quality.....the LG Revolution's video/audio recording is pretty awful.

So I am pulling the trigger on the new Kenwood DNX6990 in dash nav/dvd unit. After thinking about it further, I realize that i'm going to have a significant gap to to fill after the install. Im sure wicked CAS will have their own suggestions, but I am wondering if anyone else has faced a similar problem. This is what my W203 Radio looks like currently.

The entire black radio piece between the aluminum trim pieces is the factory unit. The DNX6990 looks like this....

Its just a 6.1 inch screen with a very small boarder. Any suggestions on how to fill the gap?

    2001 - 2004 C Class

That's the fitment for the part above. I actually didn't think to look for a pre-made mounting kit. I assumed that all aftermarket parts for Mercedes were equally as hard to find. Since posting this last night and reading your post mike, I stumbled across this...

Looks like it is exactly what I needed....thank you google.

So I ended up getting the Kenwood DNX6990 installed today....first impression.....I Love it! It is snappier than I thought it would be and the features are awesome. Pandora/serius/xm/bluetooth and much more. Here are a few photos.

I was a bit nervous for a second...

Looks like im heading to Bren this weekend for a tune. I probably wont pick up any more that 15-20 hp, but I hear drivability is improved and that it removes the stupid electronic throttle lag. Ill post the gains/improvements after.

Im currently in the market for new front rotors and pads and am wondering if anyone has any recommendations? I will be doing maybe a tray day or two this summer as well at the NER. I have heard good things about the EBC slotted rotors as well as their yellowstuff and redtuff pads. Some people have also recommended Disc Italia rotors, but i've never heard of them. What is everyone using?
