  1. #1 Default Supersprint or Rouge El Diablo Exhaust for my M3 E46
I think I am finally done with all the cosmetic stuff for my car...
It's time for the good part! The performance mods.
With that said, I have 2 exhaust set ups that I have in mind.

    Just a small background info:

Fabspeed, evosport, Agency Power, and SGT Headers are all very very similar,
if not the same and will yield the same sound and power gains unless I go with the
Supersprint Header that is worth more than gold! LOL!

On the section 1: I decided to go with Custom Performance Rasp Pipe since I have read and
heard that the Rouge Engineering Sec1 Rasp Pipe have many issues with welds cracking over time. (at least with their sec 1)

On section 2: The OEM Section2 provides the best gains compared to the aftermarket ones.

Exhaust: Toss up between Supersprint Race and Rouge El Diablo (This is where I will need your opinions.)

I plan to have a tune after I am done installing these parts... Maybe you guys know where I can get a tune here in NH or MA.
Or maybe I'll just get the EVOLVE tune if I can't find a shop locally.

    SET UP 1
    Header: Agency Power Header
    Sec1: CPI RT
    Sec2: OEM
    Exhaust: Supersprint Race

    SET UP 2
    Header: Agency Power Header
    Sec1: CPI RT
    Sec2: OEM
    Exhaust: Rouge El Diablo

    Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xl9NSwEcU90

    Thanks Guys!

I have a rouge axleback on my 135i and the quality of it is impeccable. The tips look great, and the welds are awesome.

    +1 on Rouge

Brentuning should be able to custom tune your M3 btw.

Its about $700 cheaper than the supersprint... I think the rouge is more subtle but yet aggressive but the Supersprint is always aggressive and obnoxious. I am afraid that I might get irritated with the supersprint in a few months if I get it...

I have seen that too Ken but not sure on how long their product will last... They just came out with these and I am a little uneasy about purchasing them since most of the E46 M3 owners on the forum have not had them for so long.... But yeah... they are pretty cheap for the whole set up... Mike Migs of Status Gruppe offered me those when they first came out but told him I'd think about it...

Dude, it's stainless steel pipes. I do, however understand that one concern could be wear rate of the baffling inside resonators and muffler.

Yup and the welds... It hasn't been tested long enough for me to be comfortable in buying them...

I can't imagine the welds would be a problem- they're not priced in the super low area where we expect to see a high failure rate. But if you're so concerned, go for supersprint full setup

BTW for supersprint, you can choose the type of muffling you want: http://www.modbargains.com/dept.aspx...26-001-010-001

    Muffler: race or sport?
X-pipe (section 2): resonated or not?
Section 1: with cats or without cats? CPI RT you listed is catted and resonated

For a quieter system with headers, sport muffler + resonated x-pipe + CPI RT seems like something good, no?

    ======================

Speaking of performance, you might find better gains from the Evolve tune rather than just an exhaust system. Even better, do the full exhaust and add the Evolve tune. A write-up: http://www.europeancarweb.com/tech/e...3/viewall.html
