  1. #1 Default have you switched sides
although i do not participate in the political thread it does interest me and it seems that quite often people are mistaken when it coms to a politicians stance on various subjects (often times because they have flip flopped over the years) I'm just curious if anyone has ever switched allegiance from one party to another after finding out they were missinformed about a certain policy...or for any other reason

    lol.

Yeah I switched, from a republican to a slightly left leaning independent. I have no party loyalty whatsoever.
The right in this country has become extremely conservative and not what republicans used to represent. They've gone so far right that now democrats that are VERY moderate get labeled "liberal moonbats" and socialists. People have no idea what a real socialist is unless they lived in the former Soviet Union.

EDIT: I should add that a lot of the conservative ideas are based on religion which I also very strongly disagree with.

Oh god, I could not disagree more.

I haven't really switched parties. I have changes stances on certain issues, though.

This is my biggest complaint with conservative ideals as well, religion belongs in your home and church only IMO.

I still haven't decided whether to be happy or sad about that whole thing. Hard to go downhill from episodes 1-3 though so it's probably good overall.

Why anyone would choose Mitt instead of Will is beyond me. I blame his parents

    Ditto...

There are MANY things I do not like about Mitt Romney... But unfortunately, I think another four years of hoping for "change" with Obama would be a waste... I am debating writing in for Ron Paul...

i dont like either of them. I think we should just make a Ferrari the president. Park it in the oval office and program to do burn outs to sign bills and to shoot oil all over bills it doesnt like. Eventually the ferrari will become truly intelligent and take over the world. just my political view.
