Like the title says, I think this may hit close to home for some. Especially the #1 reason ;)

I think the A pillar gauge thing is off the mark. I know in my car it is the only easy place to put gauges without tons of fiberglass work.

I am all for lifted trucks rolling coal, I don't care if it is a douche move. I want a truck like that just to piss people off.

Why not replace the oem gauges with real ones?

    "Rolling Coal"

I like it. Great terminology! I wish my truck did that.

What do you mean? The gauges I put in the a pillar are boost, afr, and other temps I did not have pre turbo set up.

Like ditch the OEM Volt gauge for one gauge, and the oem oil pressure gauge which probably isn't very accurate for your other one.

I went with Mickey Mouse ear style pods on my column. I've always found a-pillar pods to restrict vision more than I like. I'm surprised they didn't mention a 4 or 5 inch tach with shift light.

Looks bad when the gauges don't match. Either replace them all or none, or do an A pillar. I like my A pillar pod but I may eventually just make an aftermarket cluster.

Yeah I hate that when people put gauges in there, because like in the photo it looks horrible and is in the way when it is open like that. Plus it is about 8x8x5, so more of a small cubby.

The triple gauges are on a single PCB so I would have to change them all out anyway

I have to say, I'm pleasantly surprised with the direction of conversation. I figured it would immediately turn into a hatefest of stance argument.
