  1. #1 Default Working on a BMW Z4 this week... Wish me luck...
So on Thursday, a coworker is going to throw me some money to do repairs to his 2003 BMW z4 3.0

    I will be doing:

    DISA valve Replacement
    Valve Cover Gasket
    Oil Filter Housing Gasket
    Crank Case Vent Valve Rebuild
    Dipstick tube

All in all, I don't expect this to be too bad of a job other than the oil filter housing gasket.

I just ordered brand new torx sockets so I don't have to hunt around for my crappy little fittings... I have swivels & extensions, which I heard come in very handy with BMW's...

Anything else to look forward to? Any tips/tricks? While working on a german car, is it required to drink german beer?

Did the DISA valve & valve cover gasket yesterday... This car was not nearly as bad to work on as I expected..

And I have to say, i'm impressed with the amount of torque in the 3.0...
