I think the carbon fiber would look better, black comes in second. You are looking at the car, I don't get why you would want any contrast in the middle of the cf blade. Even more so something that is asymmetrical and kinda of a necessary evil like a fuel door.

I like the CF one, but also don't mind the aluminum one either.

I'd say do it. f'ing $800 R8 tax is silly. if the weave didn't match it'd probably bother me? no idea though. should have just matched the blades from the start me thinks.

just get the cf one then. In the end if it doesn't work you can sell it as you said.

Get the CF one. If you don't like it, paint yours gloss black and sell CF one. If you do like it sell your original back to him.

Ok will be more decisive and vote for the cf one. Or spend the $800 on getting allowed into Canada.

So the guy who ordered the other one had his installed, looks like the weave matches pretty well? Seller already raised price on these from $800 to $950 ($175 core exchange)

Guy is nuts about weight savings, changed a bunch of things like rear glass, the little side glass pieces and even removed passenger seat. Looks like it has worked since his car is running the 1/4 mile in 10's

Isn't the wing just added weight? I seem to remember Audi mentioning that they designed the wing to have zero effect on airflow

The wing is very light. Not sure what it adds over the piece it replaces if anything. Also I guess you could remove the wing motors?
