Obviously the most important thing right now is designing badges for the car.

Not sure why the colors aren't rendering right. Should be black around the outer ring.

Ordered a stock 318i badge. Need to order one more so I can create a 313 badge and then grab the RX off the mazda.

I was joking that we need to add something Italian to it just for the full access powers.

    Hello wiring.

Going through all the mazda wiring, figuring out what everything goes to and what I can pull out.

Did the first fit check today. Engine goes in almost like it was made for it.

Oil pan hits the cross member, but once you pull that off it drops in nice and low. I'll either need to make a custom pan, or dry sump it. I'll probably just make a pan. Front of the engine is level with the shock towers. I think it qualifies as mid-engined.

Shifter hole lines up almost perfect. Will just need to open it up an inch.

I also built this frame to hang the engine from. It will let me shift and align the engine right to where I want it and then hold it there while I make templates for engine mounts.

edit: In case the pictures don't show up again I put them all in this album. I'll keep adding pictures to it as I go along

stripped the car today. Most of the interior was out in 2 hours. Drive shaft is out, engine is ready to have engine mounts made up.
