budget pools makes opening a pool and hot tub so easy even you could do it.

what you should do, is fill with water, let it run a couple days, with the heaters on and what not. Then take an empty water bottle, rinse it in the hot tub a couple times... then fill it, cap it, and bring it to the store. They test the water, and tell you what you need, and how to apply it to the tub. Tell them you are opening it for the season. You will need to know how many gallons it is, as well as the average temp you intent to keep it at

I like Leslie's further up on rt 1 better than Budget and prices are cheaper, for the most part though I order online from Amazon now. To open hot tub just fill and you add metal out http://www.lesliespool.com/natural-c...iter/48085.htm and PH+ and let it run a little then add chlorine, use granular best I have found to use http://www.lesliespool.com/leslies-c...nular-tubs.htm. I can come give you a hand if you want. Oh and make sure you fill by sticking hose into where filter goes, will help prevent air lock in lines

    Also get spa perfect,

scott, definitely taking you up on your offer to help...maybe if its nice enough, others can join in and we can grill some burgers and have some beers or something.

i dont actually have a grill yet, but i do have a charbroiler built into my cooktop. i also dont have any outdoor furniture, nor do i have real dining table chairs yet. i lead a simple life.

Surprised Scott's supply sources didn't include a bp link.

All his bp resources are for getting the water dirty, not cleaning it.

Look into salt water... I converted my pool a few weeks ago, and absolutely love it. Haven't touched it since.

i have a SWG system but it isnt working, im pretty sure the cell is dead and just too cheap to buy a new one (they're like $500?)

will probably eventually replace it, but learning how to use bleach isnt a bad thing either

cheaper in the long term with salt water... The Salt stays balanced longer(when operating correctly)
