  1. #1 Default 1975 MG Midget
I am a sucker for punishment.

I bought this for my wife. New project begins!

I bought this car for my wife as a summer toy car to fix up and enjoy on summer days. My daughter has been very sick and my wife has stayed by her side day in and out at the hospital. Thankfully our daughter is doing a little better now. I wanted to surprise her with a present for being such an amazing woman/mother.

And this is it. A 75 MG Midget in "Decent" shape. Paid around $1k for it.

It needs: Radiator, paint, some wiring gremlins figured out.

Came with chrome bumpers to do a conversion from the rubber bumpers. The passenger side fender is showing some cancer so I figured this is a good time to get the earlier fenders to do the conversion.

    The end goal:

Came with chrome bumpers to help with the conversion:

Man, you must really hate your wife if you bought her a MG, she's gonna get stranded everywhere

i almost did the same thing for my wife, very nice gift, well played

the chrome bumpers are a great upgrade, will transform the whole car

is the paint totally gone or you think correction might fix it ? my e30 looked too far gone to be fixed but phil wet sanded buffed etc and it looks like new now, it didnt look quite as bad as yours but it was damn close

Don't these cars spend their entire lives having some wiring gremlins sorted out? Just accept the gremlins.

Nice! That's a really cool gift! Seeing what you've done with the Z thus should turn out pretty good

I support the decision entirely. I just have never known anyone to find the simple fix to their MG wiring problem. You know this too.

Love the car, hope it reaches your goals!
