Noah, everyone is in a group. After I found myself with like 10 registered participants last year and a month to go, I retooled the event, and everyone seem to have a unanimous agreement that they loved the event driving as a group vs people finding their own way. The group at some points broke into a high speed group and not high speed group but tht was mostly highway stops. Unlike the longer rallies, I do highly encourage vinyling cars and have heard about some pretty interesting ideas thus far.

Sponsors are coming in, in a big way as well this year, which makes me happy.

Would love to see some more of the YR regulars come on this... I know a bunch of you were kicking around the idea. If you are still interested, I am hoping to close up deposits at the end of this month...

First multi-day car rally i've been on. Couple of questions for the veterans.

    1. What brand/model of walkie talkie do you guys run?
    2. What should I bring besides quart of oil (yay M3) and basic car things?
    3. Any other "you want to know/do" I am forgetting?

Thanks guys, excited to do this!

    1) There's an oooold thread about 2 way radios.
    http://forums.yuppieracing.net/showt...y-radio-Thread

A lot of us have the midlands, some people have the motorolas, some other people have some sort of newfangled illegal chinese shit.

    2) Just make sure you won't be due for service in the middle of the trip. Quart of oil is handy, spare wheel is handy if you have one. AAA membership is always a good idea.

    3) We're going into Canada on this one. You may want to prepay for some international calling/texting/data.

Thanks Sam, I have AAA and I think BMW Concierge still. Will look at the radio thread.

Car will be brought to Farley for "track prep" inspection. Good call on the data part, totally forgot about that!
