The older I get, the more I realize the less technology in my life the better... Gimme old fashion cards... That are metal
The disease runs deep, relapses often, not looking for a cure, just another sick bastard to share it with.

Does this address a problem, or are they doing it just because it's possible? I don't really have a problem with the cards in my wallet. If I'm traveling light, I'll just grab one card anyway and leave my wallet. That's technology I worked out all on my own.

I wouldn't want to deal with rotating my cards all the time since I use them all for different things to maximize rewards. I've been carrying a card holder for the past three or so years but now it's so filled with cards I can't put cash in it. Now I have to get a billfold to fit everything. If I had one of those multicard devices or whatever stupid term they'll come up with for them, I wouldn't have the problem I currently have. I just don't trust it because of the battery.

Someday I am going to get less lazy/cheap and get two wallets: 1 minimalist one for my most frequently used cards and then another one that I will leave in my car with other less often used loyalty cards, etc.

    Low tech solution.

I do this, I carry a small wallet with i.d holder that shows 100's club card and then just the 2 cards I regularly use, also unlike you it has a small fold so I can keep cash in it. There is a good app I use for loyalty cards called Card Star so most of loyalty cards are on my phone

You should probably just adopt the existing terminology for that setup and start calling the larger one your purse.

I still have 7 cards sock-drawed from when I played the arbitrage game, I use them twice a year on small purchases to keep open and one of the reasons is every once in awhile they give you some good offer in the hopes you will start using more. Got one today on an HSBC Platinum, for June, July and August I can make $25 each month if I spend $250 in each of those months. Will work out good since my cable is $252 a month so will just pay that. Yep, that's a cool free $75 profit, well actually $64.75 since I would have used my 1 1/2% to pay.

If you guys have any Chase or JP Morgan credit cards, you should check your accounts for suspicious charges as there's been a data breach at Chase.
