  1. #1 Default Road Trip & Camping (VA)
A couple friends that went with me to VA last year want to do it again in September. I had a trip planned for 4th of July weekend but everyone bailed. Now they're asking for a trip.

Only cost would be gas to get down there, food, and drinks. The best way down there is 662 miles and it goes around all major cities. I've made the drive in 10 hours.

NO running water, NO electricity, VERY little cell phone service, and the nearest store or shop is 30 min away. There is a toilet in the out-house that is hard to explain but works great. There is a shower that uses a generator and heater with filtered rain water. I usually just take a bath in the river with some organic soap/shampoo we have there.

    Bobcat Valley

725 acres on the James River

Two Cabins - Queen size bed and a blow up mattress on the 2nd level

Party Central- cook, eat, hang out, hit golf balls, drink, etc

View from Party Central - property goes all the way to the river

New Toys - sold the ATVs and just got 2 of these

What do you guys think? What weekend would be good?

    Oh you're such a yuppie.
What's a hotel have? Only thing you're missing is running water and electricity.

As it says above, the closest commercial building is 30 min away and the closest hotel/motel is about 45 min away.

This is the most luxurious camping you can do. Any nicer and I wouldn't call it camping anymore.

Just think of it as a 2 day/3 night BBQ in the park.
