This is a pretty cool story. An 89 year old woman who still owns and drives daily her very first car. Over 540,000 miles on it.

That's awesome. Just shows you what keeping your maintenance up on your car can do. I think the smartest thing she did was the lifetime warranties with her parts.

Heh, not me. I had a 1985 Chevy Caprice Classic Police Package. When I was done with it, I offered to donate it to my town's police department (Marblehead), so they could use it as their D.A.R.E. car. They passed. I gave it to The Salvation Army.

    Amazing story/video though.

Haha no. 86 ford thunderbird ( had less than 40k on it in 2001) sold it to a couple in nh, they put a purple mustang motor in it. Sigh

I had a 95 Mercury Sable, i loved that car. It was hunter green with hunter green interior, hunter green dash, hunter green steering wheel. If you got lost in an evergreen tree forest no one would ever find me. Tranny died and i donated it.

I wish I still had my first car, 1998 volvo XC wagon in bronze

I wanted to gut it and rally it, but my father thought otherwise

I saved up my pennies in High School and was the very happy third owner of a 1975 BMW 2002. I still have it out in my barn and hope to start a restoration on it this fall. Great car and have put about 180,000 of the 280,000 it has on it.

Great story and I wish I knew that woman.

Dude, I had a 1989 Mercury Sable as my first car. It was red. Outside was red, inside was red, seats were red, dash was red, door panels were red, inside roof was red. Everything was freakin red. Thing ran like a champ. It had about 145K miles on it when I got my first Benz in 1999. I donated the Sable to the Kidney Foundation.
My tranny died too but for $2K I had it repaired. Well worth it.

I plan on being the guy who is still driving his first AMG. LOL

I had an '89 Subaru GL Hatchback. Ugly as hell, no power steering, but I LOVED that car. Got totaled in College. Drunk guy drove the wrong way down a one-way street and hit me going through an intersection. Me and my car landed on some old woman's front porch, seconds after she went back inside.

1990 Mercury Cougar LS, it was the slowest car I've ever been in but it was MINT and had a crazy comfortable interior. It got totaled by some asshole in a Dodge Ram when I was 17.

Can I say first new car? Cause I bought my Cougar new after my first car (an 89 Nova). And I plan on keeping it until it breaks in half. I love it.

haha. Your car went from slow 98whp. to Stupidly insane.

Cool thing is, his parents bought the car new, so Physically its still a ONE OWNER. And I think technically too, so that he didnt have to get rid of the green plate, mom is still on the title
