Most of you recognize this car as YR's own Intheflesh's F355. Lizak and I detailed this car over the 4th of July weekend. After making John realize how bad of shape his car was in and how we could help... he gave us the keys.

We brought the car down to my shop and started working on the car... We learned a lot about this car... at 14 years old it gets more attention then either car me or Steve own... combined, good when you're driving it, bad when you're trying to detail it

So we started on the car on Saturday the 4th at about 11am. We started by washing with Adam's Auto Shampoo and claying with Adam's clay and detail spray for lube. After we washed the second time, we pulled the car out to see it in the sun... and boy, we were both suprised to see the amount of spider webbing on the paint.

Here is a pic in the sun after clay bar and washes... looks OK from a distance but you can see some light swirling where the sun shine hits the front fender.

When you got closer to it, and saw the condition of the paint you would be suprised that a car still looks this good with the condition of this paint...

We stopped for the day for a couple reasons... it was roughly a million degrees that day, and Me and Steve were invited to a BBQ... We returned at about 10pm and washed the car again, and started on the fun stuff...

I started taping up the vents on the engine cover, the rubber gaskets around the doors and targa roof area, and the the two air scoops behind the side windows as they have quite a bit of black plastic there. The engine cover took quite a bit of time to do

Below you can see the car mid tape and Steve starting to test the panels...

We hit the car with Menzerna SIP on an aggressive pad and did multiple passes with the flex tool. We then hit it with the Menzerna 106FF using the porter cable...

This shot was taken at about 3am...

Also, if you are wondering why I used such large pictures... it is to show the clarity of the paint now... and yes, you can actually read the top of the bulb in the second to last pic... The imperfections you see are rock chips that are all over the hood

The car looks a 1000x better then it did though, John was pretty ecstatic when he saw the car.

Excellent work gents. It's incredible just how much better a car can look with some quality time and effort spent on it. Job well done!

Side job, but it might as well be my living, I have been an installer, I have been a mechanic, I enjoy detailing cars, and my family owns a garage(which you can generally find me at on the weekends)
