So... being the moron I am, I have already started ordering parts for the viper! I guess I just like to get down to brass tax of things.
Anyhow, I need a good HID kit to use... I bought a set for my fogs and headlights for the vette from a corvette forum group buy, and they suck! When I put them in about a year ago, the drivers side headlamp was 4 or 5 times brighter than the opposite lamp, and sometimes the lights would flicker and go out when turned on. Now, there are more problems and the lights are simply not as bright as they used to be. I know these things are very delicate, but I want a really good set to throw in the viper that I will only have to screw around with once. Any good vendor/website info?
    thanks in advance

Does anyone have experience with hidguy.net? I need a replacement HID bulb, these are stock OEM hids for my STI. I want to buy real, true bulbs, not some knockoffs. The hidguy.net has them listed for $50 for a pair which seems awfully cheap compared to $150+ I've seen for a single bulb.....thoughts? Thanks.

so there are different types of bulbs... if you are looking for an OEM replacement and dont mind spending the money, look for Philips Ultinon 6000k bulbs(it is really a 5800k bulb and looks stock)... They are by far the best HID bulb out there, they are on the pricey side though at anywhere from 150-200 a bulb... They are not sold in the US for some reason.

If you dont want to spend the money, verify your bulb size(D2R?) and order from either Khoalty.com($35 the pair) or VVME.com

Also, one of our sponsors might carry bulbs as well

Thanks. I don't want a knock-off/crappy bulb, but also don't see the point in spending more $ than I have to. Going to see if I can get it warrantied first.

how many miles on the car? They SHOULD warranty an HID bulb...

I am running both VVME's and Khoalty bulbs and have no issues with either... in fact the HID kit in my fogs(when I had them) in my M3 was a full VVME kit

I'm pretty sure they won't warranty it as the lights have been opened/modified

let me know which bulb you end up getting/how they are...hopefully I don't run into this any time soon

You can also talk to Wayne (Ultimate Creations) about HIDs or just replacement bulbs
