    Hi,
My tuning shop offer me the deal on developing intake for Audi A5.
So they want to use my car as their dumie car while I'm away.

Basically, they are offering me free intake vs dumie car.

Anyone ever done this before ? had good experience ?

    Thanks

Unless you totally trust them, i wouldn't. I'd ask myself "what do i gain from this" and yes its a free product but what does that get you, 5hp? Is 5hp worth any potential downside?

Thanks all ~ I was going toward not doing it, and just wanted to make sure that everyone wouldn't do it !

btw, I just drove to school and felt little vibration from the car arnd 40-65, never hit potholes....could it be caused because tires are not warmed up ?

    thanks

Are you feeling it in the wheel or in the seat?

Usually means something's up with the rear end. Have the tires checked for bubbles if you hit something or rebalanced if you popped a weight off...or worse.

they are also making one for the s5, when AWE does a product for a certain engine it later does it for the rest. I'm sure the 3.2 will follow

    what's the motor in the a5? n/a v6/v8?
    Let's be realistic, here;
They're going to weld up some sort of shiney pipe with the appropriate sensor placements, stick some K&N's on it, and run your car on a dyno a few times for numbers.

(okay, it may not be THAT simple, but you get the idea)
assuming you don't have some ridiculous setup on the car, I say" "why not?"
their running it on a dyno 4-5 times isn't going to be any worse than a day with the yuppie guys on the way to foxwoods or whatever.

    I mean... look @ this.
It's a 18" piece of plastic going to a box, that holds a filter, and likely opens up to fresh air under the headlight, behind the bumper cover.
