I thought this happened every few years to BBS and OZ. If either one ever goes under I dont know what I would do for wheels. I blame knockoffs. Buy real rims!

This isnít the first time that BBS has undergone financial turmoil. In 2007, the company also filed for bankruptcy, and managed to pull through. This time, it appears that the companyís precarious situation got the better of it, although partner company IG Metall was apparently planning a large investment in BBS just before the filing.
    Day is sad.

Bbs's aftermarket wheels are only a small fraction of the business. BBS main business deals with providing wheels for the OEMs... And that's what's been declining over the years

now that you mention it, like ever euro car came with BBS wheels as at least an option. Not so much anymore.

I just wish BBS updated their wheel offerings, and not just another meshie.

BBS makes rims for Ferrari and Porsche I believe, probably quite a few others I don't know about. Surprising they're going under.

The pressure of working with OEM's that are looking for huge discounts overtime, and the skyrocketing materials cost, has pulled them under. I expect them to come back under new ownership, as a fraction of themselfs. In Germany, if you lay someone off, you have to pay 75% of there salary, and pention / benefits for about 250 days, and then if things improve you are legally bound to try and rehire your old employees. They have built up significant debt over time, and its going to be hard to wipe that all away without losing assets. I would expect them to be broken us, with them selling BBS Japan, and BBS Racing. Frontally for them, in socialist Germany, its virtually impossible to get liquidated entirely.
