I've decided to take the initiative to make a thread where members of the forum can come to and discuss or just throw out there for what car they are currently lusting after during the day, week, month or the entire year.

It can be a serious place to drop some names and specs to get a little group help on a decision or just a spot to spill what's currently on your mind.

Lets keep this car related and on topic, If you want to chat... you know where to go.

EDIT: Kyle also made a good point, lets try and keep the cars we are posting in here relatively realistic to what you can afford.

Not that anybody has done it, but hopefully we can keep this away from just dreaming (like posting Veyrons and crap) and keep it towards cars we generally can see each other owning. If that makes sense?
    Enjoy and have Fun

    I'll start off.

A few weeks ago I had the Mini in the shop and they gave me a loaner BMW X3. After driving it for the weekend I got the same kinds of feeling towards what I want to be driving that I did when I had the 128i loaner for a whole month. The Mini is fun but I want something that isn't so loud and uncomfortable anymore. Plan is to keep the Mini so I need something cheap but still nice.

So I started looking at E46 BMW's and shortly there after I stumbled upon the 2006 BMW 330Ci ZHP. It sounds like the perfect mix of performance, comfort, style, price, age and reliability

-Enough power to the wheels that its quick enough to get you into trouble but not enough to make you cringe at the pump or your highway mpgs, it should do about 30mpg on the highway from what I read

-Comfortable enough to relax and not be driven crazy from the excess noise intruding in on the cabin but with enough pep in the suspension to handle like a performance car should.

-Classic design now, I stand by my opinion that it is beautiful and better looking than the new E9x series of BMW's. the lines are just simply elegant.

-The are not dirt cheap but they are not necessarily out of reach either. the few ZHPs I found on autotrader the way I wanted them were about $18k

-Currently only 5 years old at this point so it's still a relatively new car with most options and amenities that a lot of newer cars have now.

-Surprisingly reliable from what I have read. The E46 BMW's suffered from cracks in the rear sub frame but this was mostly on the earlier models. And the window regulators were known to go.

What do you guys think of this car? It kind of encompasses mostly what I want to have in a new car for me.

Thought long and hard about that actually. Was thinking to maybe buy one used come this September but after doing a lot of research they seem to have a bunch of problems, not to mention all I could afford is a first year model with all of the issues. Not to mention the pot belly pig look from the side.
