zero camber is simple when you have no wheel wells.........

Point taken. You're right, I should I have found another example. Extreme camber and stretched tires are what annoys me the most

i get that its better in every way than a 997... but im just not sold. when i think of a gt3 i think raw. nothing about it seems raw.

give me that motor in a true stripped out track car and a 6 speed and i would sell my soul.

the other way to do it is this, and cheaper.
get a E30 M3 shell and put a S65 motor in it. stand alone management. It will be rawer than a gt3 i think. After I drove a 997 GT3 on the track I was just sold on any GT3 over BMW.... different league and different price tag lol.

Trust me, my plan is to build a Pcar. Its a matter of time and space. I really want to strip out a 964.

An e30 is n my mind too just because the price of admission is a lot less, and good cars seem to be more readily available.

I think the point of the GT3 has been to get around the track as fast as possible, and a big byproduct of that was being very raw, just a man and a barebones machine attacking a racetrack. I mean it's called the GT3 because they made it to compete in FIA GT3. As time went on, and technology improved, the point was still to get as fast around a track as possible but stuff like the rear wheel steering and PDK were implemented. As much as I love rowing gears you can't argue that an automated gearbox isn't superior on the track.
I won't argue the inclusion of nav, air conditioning, etc. as it obviously adds to the "fluff" off the car but if I personally owned one I would like to drive to the track, race, and drive home semi-comfortably. Heck a street version GT3RS placed well in the 24 hours of Nurburgring a couple years ago.

Having said all that, 997 GT3RS 4.0 is still the halo 911 to me.
