Post your ideas, resources, cool DIY threads, etc. that you find around the interwebs here. This isn't a "wrap my car" thread like Pete's, just a vinyl discussion thread.

UScutter.com has great pricing on rolls... I was going to order my Oracal from there... it was like $600 a roll... $8 or $900 for enough to do 2 cars

I've gotten pretty decent with actual dry carbon fiber weave wrapping. Now if only I knew how to properly resin over it to make wet parts.

I think there are a lot of us who want to learn to do this, but nobody has pulled the trigger yet (well at least to DIY it). I really hate the color of my car and have been seriously considering it for a while, maybe I'll be the one to do it.

I'm thinking of actually making carbon dash on the audi... I found out how to do it, but the resin that I have found is only available by the gallon... I dont need a gallon worth of resin

I thought about this too, but I am not sure it will look good unless I have black wheels or something to balance it out.

if anything I would powdercoat them. But then there is the whole fact that I don't really want black wheels. Charcoal grey would nice.

PM me with details of this. I am interested in laying carbon and resin. Maybe split costs?
