Do not use, they become a fire hazard when your brakes get really hot. they are ricer, nothing more...

having said that, I know of a lot of folks who have painted the stock solid caliper Mercedes units and then returned them to stock when getting rid of the car. Simply have them painted if you are looking for that look. I would do a yellow caliper on an all blacked out S class...

you joke but there was a riced out heap o sht LSB M3 with lambo doors at Bav Auto a couple years ago... it had caliper covers on it to hide the cheap ass floating calipers the E46 M3 had. Many luls were had at his expense

Personally I would wait until you got aftermarket calipers that come painted before you go crazy. Why draw attention to stock parts? People who dont know any better dont care if your calipers are painted and people who do, know they are just stock rattle-canned.

thats what i did to my benz calipers, they just looked ugly, i think maybe within 6 months of buying it the calipers looked dirty, corroded and tarnished, painting them black really cleaned up the look, they still look good, took maybe 3 hours to do all four but worth it imo

agreed... I am all for cleaning them up and taking care of rust with some black or silver paint. They just dont need to be orange or something like that.

actually, this is also why I am curious about the caliper covers...cuz my current calipers are starting to rust, and with the rims I got on, its more 'seeable' lol, and I think painting it black would make a lot difference.

    Thanks guys! for the opinion
