finally reached the point of pride enough to post pics. I've owned this '02 F4i for nearly a decade, but always hated the red and black. This summer, I had it painted my own blend of blue, powdered the wheels, rearsets, pegs, brake master and calipers and lower fork tubes. While at it, upgraded the suspension with Race Tech springs and valves, new pads and steel lines.

Vinyl in the spring so it's fresh for the season. Work for the winter: Full tune including tear down for valve adjustment with new timing chain. New clutch with titanium spring kit. Clutch cover and stator covers are powdered black to match the front rearsets, but they'll probably be covered in carbon. Carbon intake ducts, front fender, tripletree cover and heel guards. i'm trying to find a Mig high mount exhaust for it. Lastly, I need to figure out what to do with the fuel cap.

definitely not green. too much contrast in an awkward spot. carbon covers are fake looking, and as anyone can attest, I like real carbon. I'm thinking just a racing style twist off in black. powder is difficult because I can't figure out how to get the latch and key mechanism apart.

possible, but I generally like either a more durable, permanent solution. Also, the quick cap fits the race theme nicely.
