I've been there as spectator. Great place to watch some auto-x.

Who- me or scruff?

70k on a stock Evo clutch with ~320 WHP... no launching for me. The trick is slipping it to spool without burning it up...I've got it under control.

Close to three very full seasons of autox and clutch is fine. I need to launch with very little wheel spin. RWD 911s tend to get severe axel hop if the rears are spun too much. Does not take to much of that to snap a half shaft. If you were at the start during lunch you would have seen a perfect example as the instructor with the 997C2S launched like that. Whole ass end of the car was shaking apart.

I was referring to the evo. Hey idk exactly what happened just listening to how it sounds. It doesn't have to be a 7k rpm 'launch', just letting off the clutch quicker as it's engaging will actually prolong it's life. Maybe you're pushing too much power for it and should invest a more aggressive clutch?
