we started up in the middle of the state, as thats where my cars are. then we ran down to the charlestown beach area, where we met my friend with the m3. he found us some nice backroads i've never been on. i dont remember the name, but they were labelled "scenic" by the state of ri.

then of course we had to cruise by the wall at narragansett beach, where we created quite a spectacle. we saw lots of motocycles out, and a few groups of vdubs going to that show in charlestown.

then we made our way back up north. we had stops every half hr or so, for driver changes. i think everybody got to drive everything, except for me. for some reason i always ended up in the z06 or porsche.

you guys auto x at devens? i havent auto x'ed in a long time.

i havent even been to the track in a long time either. i dunno, after going to the track on a bike a few times, i lost interest in tracking cars.

i have a dedicated track car, but my friend with the m3 has been using it. he's telling me to arrive and drive at Tremblant next week, but i have lacked motivation.

i didnt see the corrado, but saw a few caravans of dubs on the way there and leaving.

Looks like a successful get together. You should have posted about it on YR before, and not after. I'm sure several of us would have joined you.

sorry about the lack of notice or invites to the general public.

the way it was run, we had stops every 30-45 mins to do driver swaps. the whole purpose of the day was for my friends and i to have fun in my cars and my friend's m3.

i got the murc last october, so most of them had never driven it (or any lambo for that matter). my friend's m3 was also new to us.

i only let my closest friends who i think are very good drivers (and i trust!) to drive my cars. so i didn't even invite my other car guy friends (even one with another porsche) cuz i didnt want to insult them or have them feel left out.

i saw this quote from jeremy clarkson of top gear:

[On the Enzo Ferrari] “I rang up Jay Kay, who’s got one, and said: “Can we borrow yours?” and he said, “Yeah, if I can borrow your daughter, because it amounts to the same thing.”

Clarkson is great.

I don't think anyone here should feel left out by this. I know all of us have just decided on the fly to run with a couple of friends and sometimes it's just not worth posting up to wait for stragglers, etc.

I know by Bristol Run we'll have the whole group together and be able to run all our cars together. Personally, I can't wait.

Besides, I don't want him to regret posting up pics the next time he does it! Because these are awesome pics.

yeah, didnt realize you guys were switching up cars every so often... in that case thats cool of you. Understandable that you dont want others driving your cars.r

When is the next run? I don't care about switching up the cars. I would just stay in mine and not feel left out or insulted. I'd just be happy to run with you guys.
